Karl Loren is arranging, and has arranged for, guest radio appearances on stations throughout the United States. This page will carry the schedule of past and future appearances. Karl has very extensive experience as both a guest and then a host on radio talk shows. That medium has become increasingly popular all over the US. I
have had experience in booking my own shows, guest appearances, and have also
had publicists who charged fees for getting bookings for me. The most efficient
method for me has been to have a publicist. In these modern times I have
now taken on The PR Group, Vicky Southard, to be my
publicist. She represents some hefty clients, and writes PR News Releases
as a part of her services. These services I am very familiar with, and I've
written many a news release, but I just haven't been
doing them -- so I'm delighted to have her help. Her firm has prepared a
"resume" about me for radio hosts, HERE.
I thought about what I might start with for my radio appearances. I am, personally, fond of taking on the "establishment doctors" with exposes, and bold new truths. As I thought about those areas, however, I figured that in the normally short interview I would hardly ever have the time to develop the full presentation needed to expose the evils of bypass surgery, and still have time to explain cholesterol and plaque, much less have time to talk about oral chelation. I may well get into those subjects.
For
the early shows, however, I decided to present the modern miracle of the ancient
Ayurvedic herbal approach to something very common -- the pain of arthritis.
It is well accepted that MSM - Methyl Sulfonyl Methane -- brings remarkable
relief from Arthritic pain -- for many people.
However, I have had some customers whose pain did NOT go away -- who were still miserable in pain and who felt forced to go back to pain killers.
I laid out the situation to my very good friend. Dr. Ayyangar, in India. He is the expert in Ayurvedic Herbs, and is also the owner of the factory that makes the MSM I sell all over the world. I probably know more about MSM than anyone in the US, and he knows more about Ayurvedic Herbs than herbalists whose training has not been in Sanskrit, and in the books of the ancients.

Karl's Radio History
My radio history has a big jump in activity in
about 1988 when I had a publicist in Los Angeles. He called me about a
booking, told me that Roy of Hollywood, Roy Tuckman, on KPFK. I went on
his show several times and got such fun doing it that I started going after
other radio shows.

One day I was invited on to be the midnight guest on KIEV, on "XX." He had the radio time from midnight through to 6 AM, five nights per week. When I talked to him I said that I would like to stay on the show for his full six hours. He laughed, and said no one could possibly do that.
He said I could have the normal two hours he gave the starting guest.
When I appeared at midnight, I started talking about heart disease and my vitamin formula that could reverse the symptoms of heart disease. As the first two hours went along he saw that the call-in lights were busy all the time -- no end of callers. Near the end of two hours, during a break, he admitted to me that he had never had a guest who could generate as many calls as I was generating.
He said that trouble was that if I stayed
longer I would undoubtedly fade and leave him stranded at 3 AM or 4 AM with lots
of callers and me sleepy. I assured him I could stay the course. So,
I stayed on.
By 6 AM I was still going strong and the calls never stopped. I was giving out my office toll free number and over the next 10 days I got 700 phone calls asking for more information from me. I was not surprised, but he then later told me that in all his more than 10 years of radio experience he had never had a guest with that much appeal.
We parted.
But the success lingered for me.
I went to the station owners a couple weeks later to ask if they had a time slot, perhaps one hour, on a Saturday, that I could purchase and become the host of my own show. Their fees for daytime shows were very high, and they had no vacancies. But, Fred Beaton said to me, "Karl, XX is going on vacation for a week. Would you be interested in taking over his show for the week?"
I jumped at the chance. I had to pay a lot of money, but could sell advertising on my own show -- for the one week. A guest during this first week impressed me than, and his argument still does. He has excellent logic to show that the earth is COOLING, not getting warmer!
Another
guest during my first week was the lady who raised and sold Vietnamese
Potbellied pigs. I had bought one as a pet, had it for only a short time,
loved it, and thought she would make a good guest. She brought her pig
with her. That was a night that I took my dog to the studio, and watched them
play while I talked on the mike.
Her name was Hilda. We loved her as a pet. She would come along on walks with the dogs. But, they grow rather large and reluctantly we later concluded that she would be better off in other hands. We gave her to a girl who trained animals for movie appearances.
I lined up guests, but for one night I decided to go through my story on heart disease again -- about the same information as I had given out the first time. I had another six hours of unending call-ins, and during the next 10 days I got 900 phone calls, requesting more information.
Now, some 20 years later, I still have thousands of listeners to KIEV as customers for Vibrant Life. Altogether, over these 20 years or so, they have purchased more than $1,000,000 of Vibrant Life products.
The two owners, also, had to see the success of my being there. They called me in on Thursday, having heard me for three nights. They told me, "Karl, it wasn't quite correct what we told you. We told you that XX was going on vacation. In fact, he has quit and we wanted to see how you would do before we considered you as a replacement. Would you like to take that time slot, from midnight to 6 AM, five nights per week -- permanently?"
I don't think I hesitated, but said "yes" immediately.
I went from being an eager guest, now and then, here and there, on various Los Angeles radio shows to having the longest live radio talk show host anywhere I ever heard of.
My radio show was called "Karl Loren Live," and went for those 30 live hours every week. I had fabulous guests, and loved every minute.
KIEV was established in February of 1933. The original owners were Reed Callister and David Cannon. KIEV broadcast from the basement of the historical Glendale hotel rent-free in exchange for advertisements. Originally at the 850 AM spot on the dial, it moved to 870 in 1934. In the early days, some of the musical hosts on KIEV were Dick Whittinghill (later with KMPC), Dick Sinclair (KTLA) television and Don Rickles. I cannot determine what kind of music they played, it might have been big band. In 1961, William Beaton and his sons Fred and Ron purchased the station. It moved to the third floor of the Glendale Hotel.
Some of the talk show hosts on the late KIEV were Larry Moreno, Michael Medved, Ray Briem, Hugh Hewitt and Larry Cramer (spelling on him may be in error). I only remember Joe Nixon when KIEV was a country music station. There was at least eight standing country DJ's at the time.
Sometime in the early 1970's KIEV switched to "Sports and Talk", moved to 5900 San Fernando Road and assumed an all-talk format. It increased its power from 5,000 to 10,000 watts, and again to 20,000.
It seems that KIEV 870 AM wants to shed its image as a small-time, small-town Glendale radio station to become a true Los Angeles talk alternative. As of January 1, 2001, KIEV changed its call letters to KRLA.
Late last year, the old KRLA, which was at 1110 AM, switched its call letters to KSPN when the station dropped the Don Imus show, fired talk legend Michael Jackson, and dumped its political talk format to air mostly syndicated sports interviews out of Bristol, Connecticut. (source)
One
of my famous guests was Dr. Robert Mendelsohn -- author of nine books. I
was the ONLY radio show he appeared on for a regular visit -- twice per week.
He was on the radio from his home in Chicago from 4 AM to 6 AM, California time
- about 6 AM to 8 AM for him. Was great fun for both of us.

Another
regular guest, on my show for three nights per week was Col. Fletcher Prouty,
author and Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
He was in charge of the liaison between the defense department and the CIA.
At times he would be called to meet with Allen Dulles and John Foster Dulles at their home on highly classified business. He was assigned to attend MKULTRA meetings. In this capacity Col. Prouty would be at the nerve center of the Military-Industrial Complex at a time unequalled in American History. He has written on these subjects, about the JFK assassination, the Cold War period, and Vietnamese warfare, and the existence of a "Secret Team". He backs up his his work with seldom seen or mentioned official documents - some never before released.
Fletcher Prouty offers a rare glimpse of the "Power Elite" as described by Buckminster Fuller, or "The High Cabal" as Winston Churchill refered to them; and how they really operate. Those who have not been in a position to witness events such as these from the inside would not understand how invisible but ultimately effective they and their power structures are. In 1955 Col. Prouty worked in the Pentagon with the Air Force Plans directoriate. In the office of Unconventional Warfare he met Maj. Jolly West who was working on "Brainwashing and Mind Control", and also appointed the Chairman of the Dept. of Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma.
Col. Prouty also speaks about his dealings with Col. James Monroe, Ewen Cameron, Dr. Robert Beeterman, and others.

One
of my favorite guests, also on a regular basis, was Jimmy Keller -- the healer
from Tijuana.
I have published quite a bit about him HERE.
Jimmy was on the phone, while he was in Mexico, appearing on my radio show from 4 AM to 6 AM, after Dr. Robert Mendelsohn died and, of course, left me with a vacant program spot.
Jimmy Keller was my very good friend, and was "curing" cancer in his clinic. I was finally told that it was too controversial for me to have Jimmy on my show and that I would have to leave KIEV. Fred Beaton assured me that IF he had cancer, he would go to Jimmy's clinic, but he could not stand the heat from Washington.
Fletcher Prouty then explained exactly how the politics and the CIA would handle something like this from Washington.
I left the radio -- sadly, but on the other hand I have invested more than $40,000 in excess of my income from the radio show -- over a 9 month period.
I loved my time on the radio, and have finally gotten to a possibility of doing more.
I had a fascinating experience once, related to Radio Station KIEV in Kiev, Russia. I had a radio fan write me a letter, addressed something like:

The letter was mailed during the Christmas rush, and I'm sure some mail clerk looked at that address and without a worry in his mind sent the letter to Russia.
It finally got delivered to the Russian radio station. You can click on the image to visit their web site. Well over a month later the director there, who spoke and read English, used his telephone to call me at my home in Burbank, CA. I don't know how he got the number?? In any event, he explained the whole affaire and we became instantly friendly. On that same phone we cooked up the idea of a joint KIEV-Glendale and KIEV-Russia radio program. We both agreed that both radio shows would have live call-ins, and that the Russians could hear my side of things, and my audience could hear the Russian side of things. In fact, we cooked it up that Russians could call into KIEV--Russia, and have their questions answered by me, all sorts of other arrangements.
I was later fired from that station because I had guests whose views were not considered politically correct, and so was not around when the Russian/Glendale show was to air. But my successor on KIEV -- Glendale, did have that show -- the first of its kind -- all due to the small mistake by a Glendale mail clerk.
5000-year-old Herbal Remedies
Better Than 21st Century Pills, Study Suggests

Most Westerners don't usually think of ginger, turmeric, and garlic as pain relievers.
Instead these herbs conjure up imagines of a well-stocked kitchen spice shelf.
But 5000 years ago, extracts of these plants, and others like them, were being carefully blended and administered in a special way to alleviate inflammations, aches, and pains by practitioners of Ayurveda (ay-yur-vay-duh), the ancient traditional medicine of India.
Ayurvedic medicine is the world's oldest recorded technology for dealing with pain and disease.
Are the ancient Ayurvedic formulas effective on 21st Century aches and pains?
"Without question," says one of America's leading health researchers and authors, Karl Loren. "The ancient Indian herbal mixtures are often more effective in alleviating pain than the pills found on the modern-day pharmacy shelf."
Loren says to test the effectiveness of Ayurvedic pain remedies, a recent double-blind study at the American College of Rheumatology was conducted.

Loren says although the herbs do not create physical changes in joints, they do reduce inflammation and result in a significant increase in mobility and function for many types of arthritis sufferers.
To increase the potency of the ancient remedies, scientists have begun combining the Ayurvedic herbs blended with "MSM" - a molecule in the sulfur family naturally present in fresh vegetables and rainwater.
"MSM acts as a penetrant and carrier for the herbs, taking them directly to the inflamed tissues," says Loren.
According to some anecdotal reports, the addition of MSM results in a ten-fold increase in the herbs' ability to alleviate pain and inflammation.
"MSM taken by itself has also been shown to be an effective for many kinds of pain," said Loren.
Will Ayurvedic medicine and its 5000 year-old herbal formulas ever replace conventional medicine?
"Much of the world already uses some form of Ayurvedic medicine," says Loren. "Not only is it safer, but its effectiveness has been proven over thousands of years."
"Modern medicine is only 200 years old. There's no guarantee it will even be around in another 200 years," he says.
